Kids at the Kinderuni Wien – event at the ÖAW (17th July 2019) had the opportunity to be beta-testers of our upcoming augmented reality application with the working title CeMM Academy, which will be released in September 2019. The application explores the living organism down to the molecular levels. We are planning to implement annotations and more interactive elements. The kids had great fun in exploring molecular levels as lifesized 3D-scenes in real space at the Johannessaal. The Visual Department at MencheLab regards augmented reality as a promising platform for educational applications. A big thank you goes out to the fantastic PHDs & Post-Docs-crew who gave a basic introduction into the world of Molecular Biology to the kids.
